High Wind and Power Failure Risk

The remains of Tropical Storm Christobal caused 150,000+ people to lose power yesterday. Extreme winds will affect the Great Lakes region of the United States and Ontario today.

The purple area has a high risk of wind gusts of at least 60 mph with the hatching indicating the potential for gusts above 75 mph.

The red area has an enhanced risk of gusts to 60 mph with the yellow having a significant risk.

In addition, the brown (map below) is a significant risk of tornadoes.
If you live in these areas, please monitor the weather for your personal safety as well as preparing for power failures.
