Ozarks: Tornado Risk Increased

Keeping in mind that 5% is the significant threshold, the Four State area of the Ozarks needs to keep a close eye on the weather after 4pm and until about midnight as strong thunderstorms could possibly produce tornadoes in the area.

My recommendations for residents of this area include:

  • Keeping the children and others depending on your care in close contact so they can get to shelter quickly.
  • Move autos and other valuables to the safest locations possible.
  • Have a radio, weather radio or television on a local station that will provide information for your area. Have a second source like AccuWeather's free smartphone app or WeatherCall to insure you get the warning.
  • If things don't look/feel right, go ahead and take shelter.
