First Look at Today's Tornado and Severe Thunderstorm Risk

Here is today's tornado outlook. The hatched area is where major tornadoes could occur:

Tomorrow, the combined threat map (i.e., tornadoes and severe thunderstorm threats) shows high probabilities over the lower Mississippi Valley.

The upside: Badly needed moisture. This is the five-day precipitation amount forecast which started at 7am CDT this morning.
