A New Review of "Warnings"

With all of the tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings the last few days -- to be joined by flood warnings as this week progresses -- you might wonder how all of this works. From where do these life-saving warnings come? It really is an amazing story of a few dedicated people risking their reputations and careers to save lives.

That is the story I tell in Warnings. There is a new 5-Star review at Amazon and here are some excerpts:

Love this book. I learned of this book from Mike Smiths weather blog which is always full of interesting information... so I decided to give this book a try. It was very informative on the history of weather forecasting and all the trials that accrued up to the present day on getting forecasts more accurate and warnings of severe weather out faster. I read the book in one sitting, it was so engrossing. I had never given weather forecasting much thought but now I am hooked. Mike Smith wrote a page turning, well written, informative book and I have recommended it to everyone I know.

It is the perfect book for Dad, for the grad or to take on vacation.
