Drought Update

With the exception of the Florida Peninsula, the drought has largely ended east of the Mississippi River and has eased a bit in the Plains.
Here is a forecast of moisture for the next seven days.
Some areas of the East are starting to flip to "too much" moisture. In the Plains, this is enough to keep the drought from worsening but the amounts are not sufficient to improve the drought. In Washington, the dryness in the Cascades will be largely eliminated if this forecast is correct. More rain is needed in the Southwest but is not forecast to occur during this forecast period.
