Here is a rundown of National Weather Service warnings:
Orange is blizzard. Deep violet is ice storm. Pink is winter storm. The rest are winter weather advisories which is a lesser condition.
The 9am AccuWeather regional radar shows snow in from the Colorado Front Range to southern South Dakota and needed rain falling from the Texas Panhandle to the middle Missouri River region.
There is a tornado threat later today from Dallas up to Lake Texoma and Lake Eufala. The 5% area is the significant threshold.
