The models, in general, continue to show a trend toward wetter weather later this week and on Christmas week. Here is the European model 10-day rainfall from the computer run that began at 6am CST this morning:
Here is the total snowfall expected the first seven days of the forecast (via Tom Skilling):
And, snow is forecast to fall Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in a number of areas per AccuWeather's output of the European model:
The U.S. GFS model is less wet but it, too, has been trending toward wetter in the central U.S. So, given both the drought and the season, I don't think anyone will be too upset with the moisture.
