Radar from 11:34am CST shows three very strong thunderstorms moving east with another storm starting to form over Beaumont.
The radar has not updated since 11:34 which is unusual. There is a thunderstorm over it so they may have had a power surge.

11:45am: Houston/Beaumont Threat Update
Reports of one fatality, I-45 closed, and 50,000+ homes and businesses without power due to either thunderstorm winds and/or a tornado in Harris County (Houston).
Radar from 11:34am CST shows three very strong thunderstorms moving east with another storm starting to form over Beaumont.
The radar has not updated since 11:34 which is unusual. There is a thunderstorm over it so they may have had a power surge.
