Quick Update: 7:22am

The NWS Storm Prediction Center says there is a 95% chance they will be issuing a tornado watch mid-morning for southeast Texas into Louisiana.

The blizzard watch has been converted to a blizzard warning (orange). Please complete any travel in this area as soon as possible as snow will begin this afternoon many roads -- including interstates -- will become impassible.

AccuWeather regional radar shows light snow with a few spots of moderate intensity falling in the High Plains. Amarillo has moderate falling snow and 16°. Some light freezing rain is coating roads in northern Oklahoma. Stronger thunderstorms have developed between Austin and Shreveport and near Lake Charles. The severe thunderstorm watch (see posting below) continues.
