Third Day in a Row of Violent Thunderstorms

Here we go again…

Keeping in mind that 5% is significant, here are the tornado probabilities.

Of course, Monday we had the Pilger and other violent tornadoes in northeast Nebraska. Yesterday evening, we had several apparently strong tornadoes around Siouxland where today's threat is concentrated.

There is a large area threatened by damaging thunderstorm winds. Here, 15% is the significant threshold:

And, finally, here are the probabilities (15% = significant) of one-inch or larger hail. Hatching means 2" or larger hail is forecast.
More severe thunderstorms are forecast tomorrow. I'll have the latest forecasts on the blog later today.
