Update: Storm #2, Plains and Midwest

Pink is a winter storm warning for heavy snow. Blue is a travel advisory for snow and ice. Deep green is a winter storm watch.

There is little change since the last update. The latest computer model is below with the usual caution to use the amounts as approximations.
This storm will begin this afternoon in Colorado and tonight in Kansas.

  1. Mike--Thanks again for all your forecasts and updates. Where do the pink, purple, and blue maps with expected snowfall come from? Can I find these online somewhere? Justin

  2. The pink and purple colors have their scale to the right. Click either to enlarge.

    1. To clarify, what is the source of the maps? I understand the scale/legend values, just curious how you or who was generating them.
