Blizzard Danger Increasing

I've outlined in black the area that has the highest potential for blizzard conditions. The storm will begin around St. Louis and central Illinois Sunday morning and reach into Ohio Sunday afternoon/evening.

Some areas will have more than a foot of snow, with a few spots having more than 15 inches. Winds will gust above 35 mph which will close blowing snow and road closures. Extraordinary cold will move into the region Sunday night and Monday. Safety tips are here and I urge you to get these done before darkness tonight.,

Travel will be extremely dangerous and difficult. Whether driving or flying, try to complete the travel before darkness tonight. Here are tips.

Please take this storm seriously and prepare in advance of its arrival.
