Precipitation Needed to Break the Drought

More than a foot of rain is need to break the drought in the southern Ozarks region (purple area). I'm hopeful they might receive one-third to one-half of that amount between now and the 20th of December.

It is already starting to rain in part of that area as indicated by AccuWeather regional radar at 11am CDT.
