Restoring the "Home on the Range" Cabin

Oh, give me a home,
Where the buffalo roam,
And the deer and the antelope play

Where seldom is heard,
A discouraging word,
And, the skies are not cloudy all day.

In 1872, Brewster Higley wrote what would become "Home on the Range," the state song of Kansas. I have written about that song twice, here and here.
