Disquieting Forecast for October

I'm getting more and more worried about drought. Here is the outlook for the month of October.

While the drought in the far Northwest might ease a bit, the severe to extreme drought in the Four Corners states will worsen if this forecast is correct. And, the drought will spread into the Great Plains.

It is bad enough that little or no rain is expected to fall, the warmer than average temperatures ratchet up evaporation rates -- meaning agricultural and water issues will worsen that much more quickly.

I'll continue to update this situation.
