Tornado Watch

This tornado watch is in effect until 11pm CDT for parts of Kansas, Colorado, and Nebraska. This is one of the geographically largest tornado watches I have ever seen.

It is very important that people living in the watch area be aware of developing weather conditions.

Right now, radar (2:47pm) shows thunderstorms rapidly starting to develop over southwest Kansas and moving rapidly NNE. Over time, the storms will become stronger and more widespread. Any tornado-producing thunderstorms will likely move in a northeast or ENE direction.
Note: I will Tweeting the storms as opposed to live-blogging. You may follow along @usweatherexpert.
