12:30am Winter Storm Update

AccuWeather radar. Darker blues indicate heavier
rates of falling snow.
AccuWeather radar shows several important developments. First, precipitation is rapidly developing around the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. The cold front will drop temperatures rapidly over the next two hours causing freezing and very slick roads. Dallas is still 48°, but Gainesville, just to the north, is 28°. The morning commute will be a real problem.

The snow is increasing in intensity over northern and western Oklahoma. Moderate to heavy snow will likely begin in both Tulsa and Oklahoma City between 3 and 4am, making the morning rush hour a mess.
