Weekend Severe Weather Risk

For today, there is a 30% risk (15% is significant) risk of thunderstorm-generated high winds, as well as large hail, in parts of the Northeast. Keep a close eye on the weather in that area and be prepared to bring lawn furniture, trampolines and other items that can blow about indoors.

For tomorrow, the risk area will move a little farther south. It includes some of the areas hard hit by the June 29 derecho.
