2014 Symphony in the Flint Hills

Plans for the world-class Symphony in the Flint Hills on June 14, 2014, have been announced.

It is going to be close to Wichita this year, in neighboring Butler County. I'm told the site is spectacular.

If you would like to attend, please note this time and date: 10am April 5, 2014. That is when tickets go on sale. They are $90 for adults and $50 for children 12 and under. You can purchase them online at the Kansas City Symphony or by calling (816) 471-0400. The tickets typically sell out in 15 or 20 minutes and you may purchase up to six. If you are from outside of Kansas, flying into Wichita's Mid-Continent Airport would be your best bet this year.

People flew in from as far away as Germany last year. I met people from as far away as Florida.

Plan to stay Sunday as that is the rain date. So far, it has never been rained out but you never know. I'll post some great ideas of how to have a great time in the Flint Hills or Wichita when we get closer to the date of the concert.
