A blog about weather, climate, and science. Occasionally, we'll post on other topics of interest.
After Saturday's high in SW OK at Magnum 99° and other records broken elsewhere, I have friend believing more into the climate change theory. Do you know what was the main factors that caused the much above normal temps on Saturday?
There is no question that the warmer climate of the last 20 years plays a role in the warm weather of the last couple of days. I don't think this could have occurred in the 1960's, even give identical meteorological conditions. Question is:-- How much of this is recovery from the Little Ice Age?-- How much of this is natural climate change?-- How much of this is caused by human-inserted greenhouse gasses? Answers? We don't know.
