The red area has a high risk of flash flooding. The purple is an extreme risk. This is a rare category yet 40% of the flash flood deaths occur in extreme risk areas! Forecast valid now until 4am Monday.

Here is a close-up of the high risk in Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange and a tiny part of San Bernardino counties. Storm total of 17" forecast in the mountains north of Los Angeles. Forecast valid now until 4am Monday.
