  1. This is an interesting pattern, very similar wo what we experience near Lake Michigan. When we get low level flow across the lake, it many times according to conditions, it produces either rain or snow bands. It is just very intriguing that this is happening at a much larger scale.

    1. Hi Richard, thank you for the comment. However, the lake effect snows are due to the water of the Great Lakes being significantly warmer than air temperatures. That is not a factor in this type of (El Nino-driven) storm. Thanks for reading!
