Enhanced Tornado Risk in Chicagoland -- Other Areas of Severe Thunderstorms Likely

The brown area has a significant risk of a tornado. The yellow area has an enhanced risk of a tornado and the hatching means that any in that area may be strong.

Damaging Thunderstorm Winds
The yellow area has a significant risk of wind gusts 60 mph or stronger. The red area has an enhanced risk. The hatched area is where wind gusts of 75 mph or stronger are forecasted to occur. Power outages, at least on a scattered basis, are likely in the hatched area. Please prepare accordingly.

Large Hail
The yellow area has a significant risk of hail 1" in diameter or larger. The hatched area, 2" in diameter or larger.
