UPDATED: Saturday Tornado Risk in Florida

This forecast has been updated. Please click here for the latest version.

The Florida Peninsula south of I-4 has a risk of tornadoes Saturday. I will update this forecast again Saturday morning. The brown area has a significant risk of tornadoes.

Note: I believe the better chance of tornadoes will be after 2p Saturday and lasting Saturday night.

I apologize for not explaining the colors.

  1. I live in Pasco county. Your map is so small that it's hard to see. Is Pasco county included in the possible tornado area?

    2. I’m new to the state and high winds and crazy weather, would this possibly hit Martin County?

    3. Martin is south of I-4 which runs through the Orlando area. You are included in the brown zone. Be alert, take in anything in your lawn that can become a projectile easily, but no sense in panicking.

    1. Regardless of where you live, it is important to be able to locate your county on a map as well as the counties immediately surrounding you.

That said, yes, Martin Co. is included in the significant risk area.

  8. My apology: the original forecast had the legend but I forgot it for the update.

I have a four point scale: [least bad] significant ----> enhanced ---> high ----> extreme [worst]. This is an enhanced (brown) risk.

  9. Just include the color meanings!…instead of apologizing 🙃
