Snow Storm Moves East; Flood Risk Increases

Forecast for Additional Snowfall
Note, there is a new storm moving into the Northwest. In addition to snow, it will bring extremely cold air into the United States. I will begin covering it this afternoon.

Here are the current warnings:
The color codes:
  • Orange = blizzard warning.
  • Pink = winter storm warning for heavy snow.
  • Gold and sand = high wind warnings.
  • Dark green = winter storm watch.
  • Purple = winter weather advisory.
  • The pale brown is a "wind advisory," which is for winds around 25 mph.
  • Yellow = tornado watch
  • Dark red = flash flood warning
  • Green = flood watch

Unfortunately, the blizzard turned out to be what meteorologists expected.
