Heads Up: Central Florida

Scroll up for a more current forecast.

==================
Central Florida has a risk of severe thunderstorms and, possibly, a few tornadoes Wednesday and Thursday as a weather system moves through the area. Because this is not a time of year when that type of weather occurs in the Sunshine State, I thought I would give a preliminary "heads up" for our many readers in the state.

I'll have an update Tuesday.

Update, Tuesday, 2:30pm.
The NWS has updated its forecast for Tuesday (valid till 8am Wednesday) and has added a significant risk area (brown) for tornadoes. As indicated in my two-day map (above), the risk area will likely spread east during the day Wednesday.
