Sunday Feature: John Stossel's Full Interview With Dr. Judith Curry

This is my October Required Viewing. Dr. Judith Curry is one of the world's foremost climate scientists yet she speaks in an easy-to-understand manner. John Stossel's questions about climate change are impressive, obviously a lot of research went into them.

Please take the time to view the interview. For the record, Judy's views are similar to mine.

I do wish add a couple of items: there are very good reasons to decarbonize energy regardless of climate. That is why I am so in favor of it. Nuclear and hydro (where practical) are the way to go. Wind energy is a bad joke that needs to be terminated.

The heat the world has experienced in 2023 is likely primarily due to the Tonga volcanic eruption. Because we haven't seen an eruption exactly like this before, it may keep the heat around in 2024 -- especially if the El Nino sticks around. However, some oceanographic forecasts are calling for a La Nina in the Pacific by the 2024 hurricane season.

However, based on the above (Tonga + La Nina), meteorologist Joe Bastardi is forecasting a major hurricane season next year. If so, it will be blamed on global warming even though CO2 will have nothing to do with it. If you are in the business of strategic hurricane preparation, I would take Joe's forecast seriously.
