High Confidence: Rain Returning to Plains

Very pleased to report that rain will be turning over the next seven days to the drought-stricken areas of south Texas and from the southern Rockies into the Central Plains. I have high confidence in this forecast keeping in mind the exact location and amounts are not to be taken literally.

  1. That 7 day forecast seems to have an amazing 'wet' bias over Colorado. Our "normal" Sep precip total in Denver is about 1". It will be interesting to check back on Tue the 17th to compare actuals with forecasts.

Is extreme South TX expecting a tropical system (you know, the ones that aren't forming due to global warming...err...climate change.)

  2. In both cases, tropical systems are involved.
