Forecast Rainfall Next Seven Days

The rains in the Plains (where some snow will also fall in the High Plains) are needed and welcome.
In California, there will be two or three periods of rain during the next seven days. While just about all of the rain that falls in reservior watersheds will get stored, there is little doubt that if double-digit amounts occur there will be at least some flooding.

  1. Mike is this going to affect the Drought Index map?

  2. Yes, and I will be posting an updated drought map Monday night or Tuesday. NWS is having problems with their rainfall files which is why I have not been updating this week.
