Still Another Cold Wave on the Way

Depending on location, another cold wave will affect the eastern half of the U.S. from the 25th to the 29th. This will be as cold, or colder (depending on location), as any so far this season.

The great wall of high pressure continues to help cause the drought in the West. That said, there continue to be indications that the high may -- may -- collapse in mid-February. If that occurs, it will turn wetter in the central third of the U.S. and might start to ease the drought in California and nearby areas.
