Symphony in the Flint Hills

Each year, the Kansas City Symphony plays a concert in the Flint Hills, one of my favorite parts of Kansas.  The vast tallgrass prairie is beautifully green and it is a wonderful event.  According to The Wichita Eagle this year's concert will take place on June 12th and will feature guest artist Lyle Lovett. It will be staged on a ranch south of Cottonwood Falls, a wonderful small town with a 4-star restaurant and 4-star hotel, the Grand Central Hotel and Cafe.

If you have never been to the Flint Hills, this would be a wonderful opportunity to introduce yourself to one of the most uniquely beautiful areas of the United States.  Mark June 12 on your calendar.
