Four Views of a Downburst in Northeast Denver

The cloud out my window just as it was getting ready to let loose:

The rainshaft containing the downburst:

The radar data at 4:38pm MDT. The powerful microburst is over northeast Denver with a weaker downburst over the airport (DIA).

You can see the differential downburst winds in the Doppler wind data.


At the moment, aircraft are not being allowed to take off to Denver from nearby airports and there are 30-minute departure delays.
