The Rainfall Report

You could practically hear the blades of grass in my lawn shouting "Yippee" during yesterday afternoon's thunderstorms which brought another 0.86" to the Smith House. Our total rainfall so far this weekend has been 2.68 inches. After a summer of drought dormancy there are areas where the grass is eight inches deep.

Looking ahead, the system now in the Plains moves east and weakens in the next 24 hours but still provides more rain in Missouri-Illinois and surrounding areas.

Flooding rains are likely to occur with Isaac. However, what is shown is not necessarily an exact path.
