Update on Flood and Tornado Prospects

The map below is AccuWeather regional radar at 6:25pm CDT. Tornadoes and funnel clouds have been reported in far southwest Oklahoma, especially with the storm near Altus. A tornado watch is in effect for the Texas Panhandle and far western Oklahoma until 10pm.



 


The maximum amount of rain forecast by the NWS is now 8.8" just northeast of Tulsa. Major flooding will result if this forecast is correct.
