Rain: The Good and the Bad

The rain is starting to taper off in Pennsylvania.
The rain is moving from east to west. AccuWeather regional radar.

More rain is forecast, but it should fall at a low enough rate that it will not add to the flooding. Its main effect will be to slow the rate at which the rivers recede.

Farther west, desperately needed rain is falling in the southern High Plains. However, this is literally drops in the bucket. Much more rain is need. It is forecast to fall in the central High Plains (see above NWS forecast) but Texas will largely miss out.
