Ice Storm = Power Failure Threat

Power failures are possible. Prepare Now.
Details are below.
This is the output of the Sperry-Piltz ice storm severity index, which takes into account the thickness of the ice along with wind. There could be scattered power failures -- see below.
From central Kansas to southeast Wisconsin and northern Illinois roads will be terrible and power failures are possible. Please match the color on the map to the color on the charge to assess the risk. Please prepare now before the freezing rain begins.

If you have friends or family that have mobility issues or need power to chill medicines or other special needs, please help them prepare immediately.
