Northern Great Plains Blizzard Possible

Scroll down if you live in the Northeast and want to see information regarding short-term mitigation/recovery from the hyper-storm.

Ho, boy, what a week!

It now looks like a blizzard -- with areas of 8 to 18 inches of snowfall -- combining with wind gusts to 60 mph will affect the Northern Plains beginning Sunday night.

Below is the forecast for 6am Monday. Blue is where it is forecast to be snowing with darker blues corresponding to heavier rates of snowfall.

Here is a first guess as to snowfall.

In fact, it is possible areas could see severe blizzard conditions.

I expect winter storm/blizzard watches to be posted Saturday or Saturday night.
