The Blizzard of '57

Fifty years ago this past week was one of the worst blizzards in the history of the Great Plains. Terrific article here:  And, yes, I remembered it from being a boy in Kansas City.

Of course, as I marveled at the huge drifts, little did I know the event that could completely change my life, the Ruskin Heights tornado, was eight weeks away.
