Update on "Bill" Flooding

Here is the latest radar depiction of tropical depression Bill. The center is just southwest of Denton and the storm is currently moving north.

Here is AccuWeather's model forecast for rainfall between now and sunrise.
A few areas will have up to 8 inches. Flash flood warnings are out from around Madill south to Ft. Worth along I-35 and about 30 miles west of the highway. I expect additional flash flood warnings will be issued later this afternoon and evening.

If you live in the areas where heavy rains are forecast and you live in a flood-prone area,
  • Be prepared to move to higher ground on short notice. Have a "go" kit of essentials (driver's license, cash, medicine, etc.).
  • Make sure vulnerable dependents are aware of the threat.
  • Whatever you do, do not drive or walk through a flooded area! It is the #1 cause of flood deaths.
