Saturday Story: Rattlesnakes!

The number of hazards meteorologists have to deal with is amazing. Whether it is polar bear attacks at Barrow, Alaska or launching weather balloons in hurricanes, most people have no idea the dedication level of our profession. Above is a new one. They were going to install new hardware at the WSR-88D radar site near Ft. Hood, Texas, and they found rattlesnakes living in the equipment shed. So, the update had to be delayed.
