First Friday Update on Iselle and Julio

The Island of Hawaii radar shows the eye of Iselle the storm on the Hawaii coast.
The Hilo airport reports wind gusts to 56 mph out of the west. The volcanic mountains block the radar signals so you only see part of the storm. There have been reports of wind gusts to 85 and "thousands are without power."

This is the forecast path of Hurricane Julio and the center is forecast to stay north of the islands. However, gusty winds and very high surf is likely on the north sides of the islands.
