"Molly and the Tornado"

Ever wonder how to introduce the subject of tornadoes to your children? In my case, it was while we are crowded into the southwest corner of our basement during the 1957 Ruskin Heights tornado. It was less than ideal but it led to my career in meteorology, so it worked out fine.

So, I'm delighted to tell you about a delightful book for parents and children called Molly and the Tornado. It is the true story of a dog named Molly during the 2007 Greensburg tornado. The book and especially its illustrations are wonderful. You can order it at the link. It would be a great, and gentle, way to introduce the subject of tornadoes with your children.
