UPDATE 5:45pm Tuesday: This really works. Just heard from a flier who used the waivers and these forecasts to move up his departure before the blizzard arrived at Kansas City International Airport (MCI) and is now safely in San Francisco. Kansas City International is now closed and his original flight cancelled.
