Hurricane Expected to Affect Florida

Unfortunately, it looks like a hurricane is entirely possible for Florida in the next 4 to 6 days.

Right now, the National Hurricane Center is forecasting a Cat 2 into SW Florida Wednesday. Keep in mind, as you view their map that it is depicting the location of the center. However, the center could make landfall anywhere in the white outline -- which is he entire southern half of the Florida Peninsula.

If you decide to get a portable generator, keep in mind that as many people died in Hurricane Laura from  carbon monoxide poisoning as were killed by the storm. It is essential that the instructions that come with the generator be followed completely.

If I lived in the white outline, I would begin preparations now as the supply chain is not what it used to be.  I'm hoping Governor DeSantis, President Biden and others in positions of authority are paying attention.

Of course, I will keep you informed as this situation develops.
