Heads Up: Northern Gulf Coast

The National Hurricane Center says it is likely a tropical depression will form and move toward the northern Gulf Coast.

Wind is not expected to be the problem with this system. The problem will be excessive rainfall.
The amber color on the Mississippi-Alabama coast is a forecast of 7+ inches. Orange is 5-7 inches. It is likely that flood forecasts will have to be issued as we go forward in time.
