Regarding the Tornadoes in Oklahoma This Morning...
While tornadoes occasionally occur in the morning in the Gulf Coast states, it s highly unusual for tornadoes to occur in the morning hours as far northwest as central Oklahoma. The type of tornadoes that occurred today were not "supercell" tornadoes (like the big 2013 Moore Tornado). They were what is know to meteorologists as "QLCS tornadoes." You can find an explanation here.
