2pm CDT Update on Tropical Storm Gordon
I have circled the location of the center of Gordon.
It is moving northwest at 15 mph. There is a fair amount of lightning near the center which is often a sign of intensification. Sustained winds right now are around 60-65 mph (minimal hurricane is 75 mph). I suspect it will make it to hurricane force before crossing the coast.
The hurricane warnings area (red) is unchanged. The amber-colored area is the geographic extent of tropical storm-force winds (sustained 39 to 74 mph).
