"I’m Convinced It’s One of the Best-Kept Secrets of the Midwest"

Says Liz,

I fell in love with Wichita, Kansas when I was hosted for a visit last summer, and I’m convinced it’s one of the best-kept secrets of the Midwest. You’d think word would have gotten out because Wichitans love their city like nothing else, and they’re not shy about it! You’ll see Wichita flags and icons on clothing, buildings, menus… everywhere. I’ve never seen such a fierce love and pride for hometown before, and believe me when I tell you it’s contagious. I bought more Wichita souvenirs than I’ve ever bought anywhere else (except DisneyWorld).

Her article is here.

The article does not mention our amazing zoo, Watson Park, and nearby treasures like the Cosmosphere, Stratica, and the Flint Hills (below). I am hoping with the upcoming first and second round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament coming up soon, more will see our city and all it has to offer. Come and visit us!!

Addition: Because of two comments I received, let me give you an idea of one of many of Kansas' unknown adventures: Jerusalem Rocks (below). There is so much to (very inexpensively) see and do here!
The Wichita Eagle has a story on this very topic that came out today.
