Given that Wichita gets about 33 inches of rain a year, the figures below are amazing. They are from the NWS office at Wichita's Eisenhower National Airport.
The second area of heavier rains is in Missouri.

Here is a photo of the flooding in the Wichita suburb of Derby which had just short of 7 inches yesterday (9" in the last three days):
