What the Pope Eats: 'I Am Watching'

The global warming crowd gets nuttier by the day. Here's the latest:
For some reason USA Today gave valuable newspaper space to someone named Bruce Friedrich of something called Farm Sanctuary to tell us "[he] is watching" to see whether the Pope eats meat when he is in the United States because of -- you guessed it -- global warming.

As a practicing Catholic, I can confidently inform Mr. Friedrich that there is nothing in Catholic doctrine or teaching that forbids the consumption of meat except on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
